climbing adventure

Join us on Saturdays July 1st - October 14th for a day of rock climbing. These trips are great both for people who have never climbed before or for experienced rock climbers, and can be geared toward your experience level; either way these trips are a great introduction to the local climbing areas. Trips depart from Jay Peak at 8:00am and arrive back on the resort around 1:00pm. Your guide will teach you the skills you need to rock climb, or if you’re more experienced, they will help you with whatever skills you may want to work on. And, as on all Lynx trips, your guides will show you the natural history that is written on our beautiful Vermont landscape.

river gorge high adventure

From July 2nd - October 15th, Lynx will be running one of the Northeast Kingdom’s most unique experiences - for all ages and physical ability levels. The day will consist of a Tyrolean Traverse (a rope bridge that you are suspended from - similar to a zip line) over a river gorge, followed by a rappel down into the gorge and a fixed-line climb back out of the gorge. Your guides will be with you through the entire experience to assist you on your adventure, and to teach you about the natural and cultural history of the gorge.

sunset hike, Bbq & beer

Friday nights this summer, Jay Peak is the place to be. Enjoy a guided natural history hike to the summit of Jay Peak via the iconic Long Trail from Rt 242 (1.7 miles, moderate hike with some short steep sections). Along the way, your guide will regale you with the natural and cultural history of this beautiful trail and region. We will arrive at the top in time to enjoy a 360 degree view of the sunset. While there, you’ll learn about the science behind the beauty of sunsets. Then, we’ll save our knees the stress of the downhill and ride the iconic, newly upgraded, Tram back to the base (no cost for a downhill ride). As a bonus, either before or after the hike, you can add Jay Peak’s All-You-Can-Eat High Country Bar-B-Que to your night. How can you beat a beautiful sunset hike, a Tram ride, and beer and Bar-B-Que? Pre-registration required for the hike.
